Leg 2: Gateway Arch, St. Louis to Joplin MO, by way of the Katy Trail to Clinton MO.
For this Leg, I will be joined by daughter Leslee for Days 2 through Day 6, from St. Charles to Clinton MO. She will be riding The Silver Streak, my original Catrike Expedition on which I put 18,000 miles.
I picked up The Silver Streak in Chicago where I had previously it shipped to Corky, my Leg 1 riding buddy, and (very) old friend.
To handle now both The Silver Streak and The Orange Flash (a newer Catrike, the 559 Model), a special bike carrier was absolutely necessary.
The amazing product, known as the Draftmaster, is shown below with both Catrikes mounted in Chicago, ready for the trip to St. Charles MO (also in the picture are Corky and the Smartest Dog in the World–with a tail injury, so protected by the cone, perhaps caused by a spider bite).
